An exploded view of the building's structural system. The residence block (on the left) and the office block (on the right) will essentially be complete structural frames, conventionally framed with moment connections and straight segments. The lower and upper rings will tie these structures together, and the lowest column ring will support the entire building. The lowest columns have been sized using a Multiframe analysis for wind, self-weight, and live load conditions.
